John was born August 24, 1921 in Eupora, Mississippi to the late John W. Bramlett and Lura Wright Bramlett and had lived in the Joplin area most of his life.
He worked in the construction industry as a heavy equipment operator. He had worked for Hines Trucking; Francisco Trucking; and several other companies before his retirement in 1986. Following his retirement, he worked alongside his son, John.
A Baptist, John was a veteran of the United States Army and also served in the United States Air Force.
He married Nora Crabtree on August 4, 1951 in Huntsville, Arkansas. She survives at the home.
Additional survivors include four daughters, Linda Nott, Miami, Oklahoma, Pamela Morgan, Joplin, Cynthia Chandler, Miami, Oklahoma, Donnette Smith, Booneville, Arkansas; one son, John E. Bramlett, Jr., Joplin; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by a son, James Bramlett.
Services will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Johnnie Wilkins will officiate. Interment will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Military honors will be performed. The family will receive friends from 4-5:00 p.m. Sunday at Parker Mortuary.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude's Children Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee, in care of Parker Mortuary.
