Deceased came to Missouri in 1903 and has lived in Pemiscot county since that time. He was married to Miss Leota Hall in Tennessee, who preceded him in death in 1926.
He is survived by six children, Cecil and Oliver McMeans of Caruthersville and Oscar McMeans, who resides in Tennessee, Mrs. Elvie Clark and Mrs. Sarah Ingram of Caruthersville and Mrs. Belle Huffman of Tennessee. There also are two brothers, Ed and John McMeans of Caruthersville and one sister, Mrs. Belle White of Tennessee.
