Another Pioneer Gone
Last Sunday, 22nd inst. the venerable Jacob Booker, who lived in the northeast part of Haddon Township, died after a brief illness of a few hours. He was born in Jefferson County, Kentucky, in 1798 and was consequently in his 84th year. He came to Indiana and located in this county when about 21 years of age, and was one of our oldest settlers. He has been a consistent member of the Christian church for 35 years and always bore a good reputation among his neighbors.
