She was raised by her grandparents, Elmer & Mary Jane Mallory in Milton, Pennsylvania. Later came to Philadelphia to live with her mother, Florence Mallory. Married Robert Scott about 1943 and had two children. Around 1955 she began working for Dr. Alfred Kissileff, DVD as secretary and later as office manager. She loved all God's Creatures Great and Small. She lived in Flourtown and later North Hills, Pennsylvania and worked for Sears in Germantown, mostly in catalog sales and as the switchboard operator. In 1971 she transferred to Sears in Charlotte, North Carolina to be closer to her daughter. Her own mother followed her to North Carolina from Philadelphia a year later. She was a dedicated employee of Sears for 30 years. After her retirement she continued to work part-time at Sears as a "greeter" and later at Carowinds Amusement Park in the cafeteria. She never knew a stranger. She is remembered by friends and family as a devoted mother, animal lover, friend to all.
