As per Genealogical Record of Antrim, New Hampshire Families by Rev R. H. Tibbals, James was one of the six children of James and Jean (Cochran) Aiken. He served in the French War and was a soldier of the Revolution (DAR Ancestor # A000863)SIGNER OF ASSOCIATION TEST, CAPT KINSMAN'S CO, COL STARK'S REGT. James' wife was Molly, daughter of Andrew McFarland. James and Molly had the following children:
Two children died young and the others were
1. Jane (engaged to John Alexander) but died before the wedding
2. Barbara md John Campbell
3. Katherine md James Hopkins
4. Martha md Joseph Favor
5. Polly md Ebinezer Kimball
6. James md Margaret Reed
[From Patticlogger]He supposedly died in the Revolutionary war. I would like to find his grave to see if there are any markings on it or if the dates match up with an old family journal. Please help me New Hampshirians!
