Walter H. Boggs is the son of George Hewes and Catherine Achorn Walter Boggs.
Walter married Augusta L. Brown on 3/28/1894. They had seven children. Three of their children, Francis Perry, Helen Merle, and Charles Walter died in either infancy or by the age of five. Their surviving chidren are Frank Ernest, Emma A., Abbie Grace, and Fred George.
Walter lived on Friendship Street in Waldoboro at the Boggs Homestead.
Walter suffered with heart disease since early childhood, he was to die from the disease on December 19, 1935.
After his fathers death in 1880, Walter, his mother, and siblings moved to Waltham, MA. While in MA, and as a child, he started his own band, The First Cadeet Band, and he took music lessons from J.H. Pallinson and Ashman, and H.S. Ripley. During his years in MA, he played in many of the local leading bands.
Walter moved back to Waldoboro, Maine after he married. Walter continued playing in the Waldoboro, Band, along with his two sons.
Walter was a kind and gentle man who was dearly loved by his family, friends, and community.
