Obituary:
Mr. George Richard Cooper, age 62, of Route 33, Rockwood, passed away Monday, Aug. 25th, at Chamberlain Memorial Hospital. He was employed by the Roane Electric Furnace for several years.

Preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Molly Cooper.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Oma Cooper, Rockwood; seven sons, Jim, Raymond, Jerry, Blaine and Terry Cooper all of Rockwood, Clyde Cooper of Spring City and Jerry Cooper, Ft. Lewis, Washington; two daughters, Mrs.. James M. Wright, Jonesboro, Tenn., and Mrs. James Fugate, Rockwood; three brothers, Fred, Bob and Roy Cooper, all of Rockwood; five sisters, Mrs. Lloyd Ross, Mrs. Tom Vincent, Mrs. Ford McCuistion, Mrs. Emmett C. Jones and Mrs. Sally Cooper all of Rockwood.

Funeral services were conducted from Whites Creek Baptist Church on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. Hascue Carter and Rev. Homer Edward officiating.

Burial was in Glen Alice Cemetery with Booth Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were R.B. Strickland, Andrew Hill, Alvin Hickey, Clyde Hickey, Wayne Cooper and Claude Kelley.
