Robert Franklin Cooper, 80 of 184 Evans Heights and formerly of Glen Alice Community, Rockwood, died early Thursday, Sept 4, 1980 at Chamberlain Memorial Hospital.
He was a member of the Eagle Furnace Baptist Church and a retired painter with Union Carbide, Oak Ridge.
He is survived by his wife, Naomi R. Cooper; sons, Alvin Cooper of Rockwood, Lester Cooper of Nashville; daughters, Nadine McLeod of Taylor, Mich., Phillis Hewitt of Wyandotte, Mich.; brothers, Roy Cooper of Spring City, Fred Cooper of Rockwood; sisters, Nell McCuiston, Alice Jones, Sallie Bare, Etta Ross, all of Rockwood; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday, Sept. 6 from the chapel of Evans Mortuary with the Rev. Homer Edwards and the Rev. Ernie Willis officiating. Burial was in Glen Alice Cemetery.
