Harold H. "Sonny" Allen Jr., 69, of Rochester Township, passed away Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, at his residence. Born March 11, 1933, in Vanport, a son of the late Harold H. Sr. and Hazel Umstead Allen, he was a retired electrician with I.B.E.W. Local 712, Vanport. Methodist by faith, he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Beaver County YMCA. He is survived by this wife, Dolores A. Westbrook Allen; a son and daughter-in-law, James L. and Kathryn Allen, Bethel Park; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jeannie L. and Daniel Matsook and Susan G. and Ray Brahm, all of Rochester Township, and Cindy D. Allen Arbes and her fiancé, Lee Campbell, Barboursville, W.Va;  12 grandchildren, Sara Allen, Michelle, Matthew and Maura Mullen, Ryan, Justin, Brandon and Danielle Matsook, Kurt and Kristen Brahm and Chad and Todd Arbes; a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Alan Safreed, Patterson Heights, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME INC., 349 Adams St., Rochester, where a service will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Paul D. Poole of the First Assembly of God, Beaver Falls, officiating.
