Betty Jo Keith Harmon Hixson, 79, of Rossville, died on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at a local hospital.

She was a lifelong resident of the Chickamauga and Rossville area, was a member of the Red Hat Society-Sugar Plum Chapter, and was a member of the Anchor of Hope Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Martha Keith; brother, Billy Keith; and sister, Delilah Haley.

Survivors include her children, Glenn Harmon of Rossville, Kathy (Fred) Oaks of Ringgold, Debbie (Ron) Pruett of Rossville, and Donna Harmon of Ringgold; three grandchildren, Dana Bolin, Mandy Mitchell, and Whitney Oaks; one great-granddaughter, Reagan Bolin; two sisters, Carolyn Hickman and Brenda Locklear; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 20, at 12:30 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Danny Henson officiating. Interment will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 2-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville.
