Born on March 15, 1893 in Manila, Utah County to Millen Dan and Sarah Wanlass Atwood. Married Wesley Julius Beck on September 26, 1917 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died on May 17, 1966. She receiver her education in Manila and Pleasant Grove schools. Worked in Alpine School District as a lunch room manager in the elementary and junior high schools for ten years. Served as president of the
American Legion Auxiliary. Served as chaplain, captain and organist for the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She represented Pleasant Grove as Mother of the Year in 1960. Active in the LDS Church, served in Relief Society and as visiting teacher, organist, chorister and president for five years. She did genealogy and temple work.
Surviving: Three sons and two daughters, Reed Atwood Beck, Salt Lake City; Merrill Wesley Beck, serving an LDS mission in Pittsburgh, Penn.; Maurine Sadie Jorgensen, Pleasant Grove; Douglas Julius Beck, Bountiful; Ardena Beck, Provo; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday, 11 a.m. Olpin Family Mortuary, 500 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove. Friends may call Wednesday from 7-9 or Thursday one hour prior to services. Burial in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
