Brett W. Risner, 27, of San Diego, Calif. and formerly of Brazil, passed away unexpectedly Saturday June 13, 2009. He was born in Terre Haute, Ind. May 7, 1982, to Donald and Deborah Risner. Brett graduated from Northview High School with the class of 2000. Following high school he attended IUPUI in Indianapolis and later achieved his B.S. degree in Business Accounting from University of Phoenix and later his Masters from California State University. He moved to California in 2005 and began working for K-Tube, a medical tubing company, as a supervisor in the sales department. Brett enjoyed traveling, spending time in Las Vegas, cooking out and spending time with friends and family. Survivors include his parents, Don and Debbie Risner of Brazil; sister, Angel Erst and husband Erich of Brazil; niece and nephew, Alexis McCall and Camden Erst; grandparents: Maggie Risner of Coco Beach, Fla. and William and Bonnie Archer of Staunton, Ind., close friends: Vickie Adams and Roy Gomez as well as several aunts, uncles, extended family members and friends.Services for Brett will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lawson-Miller Chapel, with Pastor Doug Parkey officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow services at Highland Lawn Cemetery.
