Was first married to William Henry Wiest 25 Dec 1868 in Jay Co. Indiana. He died in 1883. They had three children: Hirundo Earl 1870-1932, Bertha Pearl 1876-1949, William E.R. 1883-1886

OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN)

Mrs. Clarissa P. Burke, 432 Ferry street, died Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A.D. Burkett, 1001 Berry street, Fort Wayne. Mrs. Burke had been ill for the last two years.

She was born Nov. 2, 1850. She was the wife of Perry Burke and had lived in Wabash for about 35 years. The only survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Burkett and Mrs. C.L. Carpenter, Wabash.

She was a member of the First Methodist church.

The body is being brought to the Hoover funeral home from Fort Wayne and will be taken to the Carpenter home, 118 North Comstock street, Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. Services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the C. L. Carpenter home, and burial will be in Falls cemetery.
