Jean Fullard known affectionally known as "NANA", passed away Sunday April 5, 2009 at the Hospice of the Golden Isles. Jean was 69 and had lived in Brunswick for the past 47 years.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 9, 2009 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home in Brunswick. Funeral services will be conducted Friday April 10, 2009 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Edo Miller with the Reverend Jack Pickren officiating. Interment will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery in Waycross, GA.

Active pallbearers will be Rocky Smith, Ray Fullard, Corey Lee, Colby Lee, Chuck Aldridge, and Wayne Butler.

Honorary pallbearers will be Nurses of the ICCU of the Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida and the Southeast Georgia Health Systems ICCU nurses and staff, as well as the staff of the Hospice of the Golden Isles and Mrs. Fullard's Sunday School Class of Community Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Nana was born July 24, 1939 in Blackshear, (Pierce Co) GA. She was the daughter of the late Ben Aldridge and the late Mary Elizabeth Pittman Aldridge.

Nana has been a resident of Glynn County and held positions at Payless Foods for 15 years, a substitute teacher with the school system, as well as a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Nana was a member of the Community Lighthouse Baptist Church, where she was a teacher, served on the finance committee, social committee and the nominating committee.

In addition to Nana's parents she is preceded in death by her daughter Martha Sue Fullard and her brothers Walsteen (Brown) and Latchelon (Latch) Aldridge. Nana leaves behind her loving husband of 52 years Jimmy R. Fullard, Sr. of Brunswick, Ga., daughter and son-in-law Lisha (Wayne) Fullard Smith Jones of St. Simons Island, Ga., son and daughter-in-law Jimmy (Stephanie) R. Fullard, Jr., of Brunswick, Ga., daughter and son-in-law Cathy (Gary) Fullard Lee of Brunswick, GA; Four Granddaughters Carrie A. Smith, Mindy L. (Greg) Smith Underwood, Polly A. (Matt) Fullard Dixon and Caitlin A. Lee all of Brunswick, GA; Four Grandsons Rocky L. Smith, Ray Fullard, Colby L. Lee, and Corey L. Lee all of Brunswick, GA; Three Great Grandsons Caleb L. Smith of Brunswick, GA, Gavin

Nana was an inspiration and friend to all she met and will be truly missed by her family and friends.
