TAYLOR - Leota Lucy Taylor, daughter of Henry and Mary Molesworth Long, was born August 18, 1878 near Columbia and passed away October 18, 1969 at the age of 91 years and two months at the Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.

She was married to John R. Davis October 7, 1897. He passed away April 12, 1910. To this union were born three children, one who died in infancy.

She was united in marriage June 11, 1912 to Charles Taylor. One daughter was born to this marriage.

Her entire life was spent in the vicinity of Russell.

She was an ardent lover of nature, and plants and animals. She also enjoyed working in her yard and garden for many years.

She was a long time member of the Russell United Methodist Church and attended as long as her health permitted.

Many of her friends and relatives have passed on but she leaves a host to mourn her passing.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. George Wright of Russell and Mrs. Ernest Comito of Des Moines and a son, Everett Davis of Ottumwa, six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, two sons-in-law and a daughter-in-law.
