Thomas had eight children by his first wife Nannie and eight children by his second wife Martha. We don't know if the oldest child Ruth is his. She was at least four years old when Thomas and Nannie married so we don't know if it is his child by someone else or Nannie's child by someone else. All of his children were not mentioned in his obit and it could have been because he gave his children up to other people and sent some to the adoption home in Richmond. His brother Clarence wasn't mentioned either.
