Delmar Leon "D.L." Clowers, 91, of Little Rock died June 15, 2009. He was born on February 9, 1918 at Danville, Arkansas, a son of the late George and Nora Stone Clowers. He was a retired barber and salesman and teacher of his favorite subject, his Lord; and was a member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elvie Clowers; a granddaughter; and two brothers.
He is survived by two daughters, Nina Williams and husband David of Little Rock and Evelee Morris and husband Ed of Alexander; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Harold Clowers of Little Rock and Gerald Clowers of North Little Rock.
The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Pleasant Valley Church of Christ with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Mr. Nick Hamilton and Mr. Chuck Monan will officiate. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Roller-Chenal Funeral Home (501)224-8300.
