Funeral services for Gladys Novelene Bledsoe, 7, of Davis were July 15 at First Christian Church with Brother Dennes Long officiating. Interment was at Green Hill Cemetery with Fox Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Bledsoe was born June 6, 1918, at Wanette and died July 13 at Memorial Hospital of Southern Oklahoma, Ardmore. Her parents were John Ransom and Lou (Pickett) Henry. She married E. C. "Nick" Bledsoe February 6, 1937, at Asher. She moved to Davis from Hennepin 44 years ago and was retired from Stromberg Carlson. Mrs. Bledsoe was past worthy matron of the Order of the Eastern Star and past president of Rebekah Lodge and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband of the home; three daughters, Mary LaNoy of Guthrie, Nika Bledsoe of Oklahoma City and Opal Bejcek of Southlake, Texas; two sisters, Ruby Jackson, Plainview, Texas, and Eula Perkins of Okmulgee; a brother, Clyde Henry of Canyon, Texas; five grandchildren, Clifton LaNoy of Davis, Alisa Kornmeyer of Guthrie, Michael LaNoy of Anchorage, Alaska, Chelsea and Brock Bejcek, both of Southlake, and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and a brother.
Pallbearers were Buddy and Jackie Seago, Bill and Fred Perkins, Eugene Henry and Cary Strickland.
