Mary B. Hines died Monday in Oklahoma City. She was 85. She was born October 15, 1914 in Texas, the daughter of Willie and Erra Brown.

She lived in the Stroud area for many years and was a longtime member of the Jesus First Baptist Church of Stroud.

She married Paul Hines in Stroud December 2, 1933. He preceded her in death November 6, 1997. Also preceding her in death were her parents, four sisters and one brother.

Surviving are four sons, Cardell Hines of Chandler, Kenneth Hines of Lansing, Michigan, Paul Hines of Oklahoma City and Ralph Hines of Oklahoma City, three daughters, Bernice Hines of Peoria, Illinois, Mary Johnson of Oklahoma City and Erra Todd of Midwest City, twenty three grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Jesus First Baptist Church of Stroud with the Rev. Ralph Hines officiating. Burial will follow at Godwin Cemetery in Stroud under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home.
