Dessie Jewel Mobley Curtright, 90 years, a resident of Summers, Arkansas, formerly of California, went to be with her Lord, June 113, 2009, in Summers, Arkansas. She was born December 16, 1918, in Braggs, Oklahoma, the daughter of Ernest and Sarah Annie Hunter Huffman.

Dessie always attended church and would play a guitar and sing. She had a beautiful alto voice and would sing duets with her sister. Before she moved to Arkansas four years ago, she was a member of the Airport Assembly of God Church of Modesto, California. She was married to Joe Mobley for 51 years. Together, they raised six children, five sons and one daughter. They loved fishing, camping, and playing family games until Joe passed away in 1987. Dessie later married Rev Carl Curtright in 1992. For the next 12 years, they ministered in various churches in California, until Carl was called to his heavenly home in 2005. Dessie was also preceded in death by one son, Richard, six sisters, and three brothers.

Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Irene Mobley of Hanford, California, Donald and Bonnie Mobley, of Lincoln, Arkansas, Jerry and Reba Mobley, and Bill and Jan Mobley, all of Summers, Arkansas; one daughter and son-in-law, Hilda and Jay Lawler of Visalia, California; daughter-in-law, Betty Mobley, widow of Richard Mobley, of Modesto, California; 22 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 18, at 2:00 pm, by Salas Brother Funeral Chapel of Modesta, California, with burial in the Lakewood Cemetery in Hughson, California.
