"Mrs. Gov. Holt Dies Suddenly
Mrs. Louisa Holt, widow of Gov. Thomas M Holt, died suddenly Saturday night about 10 o'clock at the home of her sister, Mrs Laura Holt, widow of the late James H Holt, in Burlington. Remains were carried to her home at Haw River and the funeral was conducted from the Presbyterian church Monday at 2 o'clock pm. Remains were interred in the cemetery at this place in the family plot beside those of her distinguished husband. Leaves surviving her two sisters, Mrs James H Holt of Burlington, and Mrs Joseph H Young of Charlotte and four children, Mrs EC Laird of Hot Springs, NC, Mr Charles T Holt and Mrs A W Haywood of Haw River and Mrs C B Wright of Raleigh. Her maiden name was Moore and her age about 65 years."
