A native of Missouri, he had followed railroading for many years. He was transferred to the Salt Lake division from Oregon 13 years ago and had a run out of Sparks. He was widely known on the division. He resided at Sparks for several years and was a member of the Sparks lodge, No. 726 Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Edna Moery, and two children, Marion and Max Moery of Reno. He was 50 years old.
