Born in Cumberland County, he was the son of the late Billy and Rena (Watson) Blythe and the husband of Ollie (Crawford) Blythe, who survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Bill Blythe, Monrovia,Ind., and Wheeler Blythe, Louisville; three daughters-Norma Stump, Winter Haven,Fla.; Betty Decker, Overland Park, Kans.; and Minnie Pearl Foster, Bowling Green; one brother Herman Blythe, Indianapolis, Ind.; two sisters, Mae Crawford, Burkesville, and Emma Webb of Celina, Tenn. There are 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in the chapel of Strode Funeral Home, with Bro Amon Martin officiating.
Pallbearers were Roger and Roy Myatt, Kenneth Hood, Bill Oliver, Paul Johnson and Jeff Hofelich.
