Isaac Nelson Brumfield was a member of the Second Regiment of the Mississippi Infantry (Quinn's State Troops) C.S.A. and was a Private-Sergeant, Co. I, and served from the Fall of 1861 to the summer of 1863. He joined the Masonic Lodge in 1852 and was a member of this organization for 57 years, having earned his 33 degree. He joined the Methodist Church in 1860 and was a member of this faith for 50 years.
