She never married. Minta cared for her father until his death in 1943. She then worked at the Methodist Home for the Aged in College Hill (Cincinnati), OH. She was a second mother to nephew and niece, Ross Junior Morrison and Marjorie Cornelius. In later years, she lived with her sister Goldie and brother-in-law Bill Cornelius.
