Longtime Dryden resident Gladys A. Patton, 76, died Friday morning, Sept. 13, 1991, at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee.
She was born in Lamona, Wash., on March 8, 1915, to Henry and Margareta (Luiten) Reese. She grew up and attended schools in Odessa and graduated from Odessa High School in 1935.
She married M.H. "Pat" Patton on Dec. 14, 1940, in Wenatchee. She worked for many years as a Kenpostal clerk in Dryden and, after retiring, worked seasonally at the Dryden warehouse.
Mrs. Patton was a member of the Dryden Community Church and ImDryden Improvement Club.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Robin Reese, of East Wenatchee; two nephews, Ron Reese of Ephrata and Larry Reese of Marysville, and a niece, Linda Rixe, of Yakima.
Funeral services for Mrs. Patton took place Sept. 17 in the Dryden Community Church. The Rev. Marion Knoll officiated. Vocalist Harvey Radach and organist Alma Radach performed "How Great Thou Art." Pallbearers were Mike Adams, Bob Adams, Shawn Adams, Kenpostal neth Adams and Leland Fischer. Concluding services and interment followed in the Cashmere cemetery. Memorials in Mrs. Patton's name can be made to the Dryden Improvement Club.
