Jean L. Cissell, 77, of Perryville died Monday, April 25, 2005, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She was born Sept. 17, 1927, at Perryville, daughter of John and Lela Rabe Diefenbach. She and Joseph E. Cissell were married Jan. 24, 1953. He died Nov. 13, 1992. Cissell was a stitcher at Prince Gardner and had worked at Tri-Con. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Altar Guild and Archives Committee, and Perryville High School Alumni Association. Survivors include two sons, Michael Cissell of Farmington, Mo., Robert Cissell of Troy, Mo.; twin sister, Jeanette Schamburg of Bloomington, Ill.; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and Thursday from 6:30 to 9 a.m. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Christopher Cole officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Church Cemetery.
