Our Country's Defenders' Buried in Snyder County
On Saturday of this week, May 2021, the surviving comrades of the late War will pay the annual tribute to the memory of the dead soldiers lying buried in cemeteries all over this land. For years we have felt the necessity of having a list of the dead soldiers buried in this county. With the aid of a number of veterans we have complied the following list of dead soldiers whose graves will be decorated on Saturday. This list is not as complete as we would like to have it, but we have done the best we could with the data at hand.
**Bakers Cemetery (HE IS IN EVERGREEN CEMETERY)
**Moses Fisher milita 62
**Middleburg, Snyder County, Pennsylvania, Thursday, 27 1897
Memorial Contributor: CKis (50254066)
BIO:
Aged 76Y 3M 11D [Note: stone is flat in ground] Moses was born and died in Penn Township, Snyder Co. PA. He was the son of David and Maryanna Marie "Polly" Yocum Fisher, husband first of Juliann "Annie" Esterline and second to Matilda Catherine Sprenkel, father of 7 children. Some records indicate his first name was George with Moses in the middle but he went by Moses and that is on most of his history records.
