Funeral services for Estelle Allen were held February 27, 2005, at the Chapel of Remembrance in Winona with Elder Michael Virgil officiating. Burial was held at Lindsey Springs Cemetery near Kilmichael with Roberts & Sons Mortuary of Winona in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Allen, 77, of Jackson, formerly of Kilmichael, died February 21, 2005, at Hinds County Nursing Home in Jackson.
Survivors include her sons, Wilson Allen of Carol City, Fla., Willie Earl Allen of Kilmichael and Travis Allen of Jackson; daughters, Irene Yates of Ackerman, Joyce Bright of Vicksburg, and Arma Wesley and Brenda Allen, both of Jackson; brother, Oliver "Honey" Campbell of Kilmichael; sisters, Benetta Barnes of Miami, Fla., Annie Campbell-Nellum of Indianola and Juanita Barnes of Orlando, Fla.; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
