Burial was in the Winnfield Cemetery, Winnfield, under direction of Hixson Brothers Inc. of Jena.
Mrs. Thompson, 78, died at 8:20 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28th, in LaSalle Nursing Home.
Survivors include four daughters: Betty Williams of Jena; Sally Bartley and Vicki Domangue, both of Houma, and Frances Thibodaux of Lake Charles; three sons, Michael Thompson of West Monroe, Patrick Thompson of Jena, and Tommy Thompson of Houma; one brother, James Gates of Jena; 25 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were grandsons: Bill Williams, Doug Bartley, Howard Thompson, Packey Thompson, Tommy Thompson, and M. J. Thibodeaux, Jr.
