On Sunday, August 1, 1897, at Logan, Clackamas County, aged 21. The deceased has been a sufferer for more than a year from that dread disease, consumption, and was confined to his bed for the last five months of his life.
He was a member of the Baptist Church at Logan and was greatly respected in the community. His mother, Mrs. Clara Richey, and a sister and brother survive.
Funeral services were conducted from the family residence on Tuesday by Reverend Mr. Cornings, of Gresham. The interment was in the cemetery at Logan.
