Daniel Weldon Blanton married Miss Blanche Qualls in 1898 at Benjamin, Texas. The couple moved to Young County, Texas in 1935. She preceded him in death.

Services for Daniel "Dan" Weldon Blanton, 71, were held at the Newcastle Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Van P Morrison.

Mr. Blanton moved to Texas in 1893 setting at Benjamin, Texas. At an early age, he joined the Methodist Church. Mr. Blanton was a barber.

Survived by one son - Horace Blanton; two daughters - Mrs. L.C. Andrew and Mrs. E.V. Andrew; three brothers - Ben Blanton, Sam Blanton and George Blanton; five sisters - Mrs. A.E. Curtis, Mrs. R.L. Heard, Mrs. J.L. Loftes, Mrs. R.O. Weatherly, Mrs. John Standefer; six grandchildren.
