SHALLOTTE - Ruby M. Clemmons, 90, of Autumn Care of Shallotte, formerly of Holden Beach Rd., Supply, died Saturday, January 5, 2002 in the Brunswick Community Hospital. Born in Brunswick County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Georgia Robinson Hewett. Mrs. Ruby was the widow of Willie Holden and Sprunt Clemmons, and was preceded in death by a sister, Mattie Fulford.
Survivors include her daughter, Juanita Hewett of Supply; a stepson, Bertram "Elbert" Clemmons of Supply; three grandchildren, Rita Hewett, Keith Hewett, and Wendy Geddings and husband, RC; two great-grandchildren, Brandon K. Hewett, Felicia Geddings; three sisters, Viola Hewett, Euzena Lewis, Doris Ward; and a stepsister, Raye Insco.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from the home of Juanita Hewett on Holden Beach Road, Supply.
