Kenneth Alderson, 55, of the Holly Springs community, died Monday, May 18, 2009, at Riverview Regional Medical Center. Born in Jefferson County, he was the son of Elbert C. Alderson of Oneonta and the late Mirrelean “Tootsie” McClung Alderson.
He was a child of God and had worked as a heavy equipment operator for construction companies.
Predeceasing him besides his mother were brother Tony Alderson and grandmothers Florence Alderson and Maggie McClung.
Surviving besides his father are wife Susan Sullivan Alderson; daughter Christy (Chris) Kelsey of the Holly Springs community; grandchildren Collie Kyle and Nicholas Clayton Kelsey; brothers Stanley Alderson of Oneonta and Marty (Jody) Alderson of Springville; sisterin law Carol Alderson of Altoona.
Services were held Thursday, May 21, at 1 p.m. at Lemley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at New Hoe Cemetery near Springville.
