Michel Fitzhugh Isere White, 88, of Waynesboro went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 2, 2016.
Born February 28, 1928 in Fishersville, he was the son of the late Dr. Harry Fitzhugh and Germaine (Brutsche) White.
He served his county honorably with the U.S. Army. Michel held various jobs in Staunton, Augusta County, Waynesboro and at the University of Virginia. He had attended Massey Business College, Richmond, VA, The Culinary Institute of American, New Haven, CT and Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, VA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Harold D.B. White.
Michel is survived by two nephews, a niece and several cousins.
Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 9, 2016 at Thornrose Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Augusta Regional SPCA, 33 Archery Lane, Staunton, VA 24401 or Trinity Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 208, Staunton, VA 24401.
