Wilma L. Glaze, 82, of Bloomington, died on Thursday, June 11th, 2009, in Bloomington. She was born in Monroe County on November 14, 1926, the daughter of Ona and Ruby Faye (Smith) Abram. A graduate of Bloomington High School, she was a member of the National Honor Society. Along with her husband, Jim Glaze, and her parents, she owned and operated "Abram's Grocery" on West State Road 45 near Bloomington, retiring in 1993. Following retirement, she and her husband enjoyed traveling in their motor home around the country. She was a longtime member of the West Second St. Church of Christ.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Theresa Glaze of Freedom; four grandchildren, Sarah (Michael) Hall of Bloomington, Laura (Jim) Potter of Freedom, Chad (Gina) Brault of Wabash, IN, and Kelly (Jeff) Padgett of Greene County; eight great-grandchildren and nine cousins, Helen Metcalf, Shirley Wood, Martha Smith, all of Bloomington, Lloyd Smith of Whitehall, Richard Smith of Scottsdale, AZ, Dale Smith of Phoenix, AZ, Barbara Houseworth and Norma Pakes, both of Martinsville and Marshall Smith of Bloomington.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Glaze, in 2003; her parents; and cousins, Donald Smith, Erma Summitt, Paul Smith, Thelma Long and Doris Skeen.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 15th, at Allen Funeral Home, 4155 S. Old St. Rd. 37, with Bro. Mike Davis officiating. Burial will be at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
