Cotton Cruce Rites Are Held
Funeral services for Roland D. (Cotton) Cruce were held Saturday, May 31, at Bahner-Fox Funeral Chapel. Karl Jones and P. E. Traylor officiated. Burial was in Green Hill cemetery with arrangements by Bahner-Fox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Mutt Sanders, Larry Kennedy, J.E. Maynard, Leon Cobb, Percy Jim Gargis, Billy Ray Sanders and Larry Sumpter.
Cruce was born Oct. 11, 1928, in Granbury, Tex. He died May 29 at the Veterans Center hospital, Sulphur. He had been a resident of Davis since 1939, and was a disabled veteran.
Survivors are two sons, James Roland and Jack Douglas Cruce, both of Davis; one sister, Lula Belle Warren of Davis, and one half-brother, Marvin Cruce of Keller, Tex.
