FUNERAL DELAYED BY BAD ROADS
Rimerton, Feb. 5. – The horrible condition of the dirt roads in Washington township today delayed the funeral of A. C. Crissman, who lived directly across the river form this place, to such an extent that burial in the Presbyterian cemetery at Cowansville did not take place until dusk was nearly at hand. The distance from the residence to the cemetery was only seven miles but due to the condition of the roads it required three hours for the cortege to reach its destination. The hearse broke down at Sherrett, making it necessary to transfer the casket to a truck and convey it to the cemetery in that manner. Old residents said they cannot recall the township roads ever being in such a condition.
