Mr. Quertermous, 73 years old, died Sunday, May 31, 1998, at his home.
He was born Dec. 3, 1924, in Charleston, the son of Clarence Auburn and Thelma Quertermous. He and Cecil Mae Little were married Oct. 1, 1948.
He had worked 35 years with Boyer Construction Co., retiring as superintendent. He was a member of the VFW Post in Charleston. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
Survivors include two daughters, Diane Groves and Jan Hon;; four brothers, Leslie, Dennis, Glenn and Kenneth Quertermous; three sisters, Romona Fletcher, Jeannie Williamson and Helen Strickland; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, a sister and a grandson.
