Cecil Vernon Waller, formerly of Stacy, passed away June 11 at the Careview Nursing Home in Minneapolis. He was 86. Waller served as a mail carrier for 40 years in the rural Stacy area and he was a 75-year member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Stacy.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Waldemar (Anita) Hill of Vero Beach, Fla.; two sons, Donald and Harry, both of Richfield; one sister, Mrs. James (Dora) Fladland of St. Paul; four brothers, Francis of Salem, Ore., Harold of Forest Lane, Reginald of Minneapolis and ,George of Minot, S.D.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two wives, Adeline and Ruth.

Services were held Friday, June 15 at 2 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church with interment at Stacy. Memorials may be sent to the St. John's Church.
