Funeral services for Mrs Annie Fladland, aged Stacy resident who died a week ago yesterday, were conducted last Saturday afternoon November 2 at 1:30 pm and the home of Vernon Waller and the English Lutheran Church.

Dr Ramsey and Rev Helgeson officiated and a mixed quartet furnished 2 songs, Shall We Meet Beyond the River and the Beautiful Golden Gate. A duet Whispering Hope was sung by Mrs Dell Lent and Mrs FL Waller. A song also contributed by Mr Braff of North Branch.

Burial took place in the Stacy Cemetary.

Mrs Annie Fladland was born in the State of New York, Jan 16, 1863 and came to Goodhue county when a small child. There she lived and grew up and was married December 16, 1884 to Henry O Fladland. They lived in Kenyon, MN until March 1898 when they moved to Lake Park, Becker County. Mr Fladland died at Lake Park, November 27, 1902.

Mrs Fladland and family came to Stacy in the spring of 1912, where she has made her home since. She died October 31, 1923 aged 60 years, 9 mo and 15 days after an illness of 8 weeks.

Mrs Fladland was the mother of 10 chldren, one daughter having died in infancy and 9 being left to mourn her loss. They are Edward and Earl of Minneapolis, George, James, Mrs Helmer [Julia] Sanstad, Mrs Vernon [Adeline] Waller, Mrs Rex [Tressa] Hewson of Stacy, Joseph of Forest Lake and Mrs C J Trondson of Morse, WI.

She also leaves 5 brothers, Adam and Joseph of Elgin, IL, George, Louis and John of Kenyon, MN and 1 sister, Mary of Faribault, MN. 16 grandchildren also survive.

Mrs Fladland was a faithful member of the English Lutheran Church having been baptized and confirmed when young and was also a member of the English Lutheran Ladies Aid here from which she will be greatly missed. Death was a blessing to the suffering mother, who suffered such agony for such a long time.

The sorrowing children have our heartfelt sympathy in the loss of their dear mother, who was always at hand to help them in both need and pleasure. The pallbearers were EC Waller, J Kaufman, s Moen, Axel Eckwall, J Alquist and G Williams
