Harry Lee Anderson of Danville, IN, formerly of Bedford, IN, died Friday, September 5, 2003, at Avon Healthcare in Danville. Born on November 16, 1917, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Oscar and Elizabeth (Rich) Anderson. He married Darlene McDonald on September 20, 1940, in Lawrence County, IN, and she died on October 1, 1984.

Surviving are one son, Terry Anderson and his wife, Ginger, of Danville, IN; one grandson, Tim Strunk of Bedford, IN; one brother, Wayne Anderson of Bedford, IN; two sisters, Mary Smith and Clara Bartley, both of Bedford, IN; two granddaughters, Amanda Anderson of Danville, IN, and Becky Pruett of Herron, IN; four great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He retired from Naval Surface Warfare Center-Crane, where he had served in the Fleet Logistics Support department. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Bedford Lodge 14 F&AM, past scout master of Troop 39 of the Baptist Church, and had received the Silver Beaver award for scouting.

Services for Harry Anderson will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 8th, at the Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery.
