Robert "Bob" Eugene Isaacs On June 28, after a long, hard-fought battle, Bob Isaacs, age 77, left this world to ride off on his tractor headed for greener pastures. It was with sadness that we watched him go, but with gladness that we know his suffering has ended.

He was born on January 29, 1931 in Eldorado, Tx. to Robert F. Isaacs and Katherine Seymour, who preceded him in death. He lived and worked in Austin and the surrounding area for many years as an electrician. He was a member of the Local Union 520,IBEW for nearly 60 years and leaves behind a solid reputation an "Old Blue", an honest, hardworking man. He returned to the Eldorado area in 1995 to settle on the Lazy T Ranch, which was his haven in his "retirement" years. Few things pleased him more than a buggy ride around his place, taking time to appreciate all the work he'd done and all that there was yet to do. He enjoyed spending time in his shop that he built, tinkering, welding, wood working and generally fixing anything that caught his eye. If there wasn't anything to fix, he would think of something to build that would make life on the ranch that much better. He found great pleasure in ranching, hunting, fishing, gardening, and any activity that would take him outdoors.

He is also preceded in death by his first wife, Hazel, and is survived by their children, Teena Dorn and husband Peter, of Country Club Hills, IL., Peggy Zion of Bastrop, and Darin Isaacs of San Antonio. He is also survived by his loving wife Katy, his sisters, Jo Meredith and husband Smokey of Junction, Jewel Stewart and husband James of San Angelo, and Dolores Martin and husband Alton of Lewisville, his step-sons, Danny O'Neal of Austin, and Travis "Donny" O'Neal and wife Shannon of Round Rock, eight beautiful grandchildren, Angelica Dorn, Aaron Dorn, Addie Najvar and husband Steven, Beau Zion, Coltanna Zion, Casey O'Neal, Riley O'Neal, and Dusty O'Neal, and many loved cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Services will be performed by his son-in-law, Pastor Peter Dorn, on Wednesday, July 2 at 11:00 a.m. at the Eldorado Cemetery Chapel on Hwy. 190 West in Eldorado, Texas. Viewing will be at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the VistaCare Hospice Foundation, 402 N. Bryant Blvd., San Angelo, Tx., 76903. Donations can also be made online at www.vistacarefoundation.org.

The family would like to thank the many people whose get-well wishes, visits, and prayers brought comfort and peace to Bob throughout his illness. A special thanks goes to his VistaCare angels, who cared for him and his family with compassion and respect. In this difficult time, it was truly a blessing to have the generous support of so many.
