HATTON, JR., Willie Elmer – Age 52, beloved husband, father & friend, went to be with his Lord on Monday, December 22, 1997. He was born on January 14, 1945 at Sims, Arkansas to Willie Elmer and Alma Gertrude (Beggs) Hatton. Willie had resided in the Myrtle Creek area since the 1960's. On September 20, 1974 in Reno, Nevada he married Kathy McNaughton. Willie Worked for many years for Roseburg Forest Products mill in Dillard. He was a member of Union Local 2949. He enjoyed hunting, the outdoors & carpentry. Survivors include his wife, Kathy Hatton of Myrtle Creek, his mother, Alma (Beggs) Hatton of Sims, Arkansas, four daughters: Dana Cheatum and husband Kirk of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Marcee, Mandee and Mollie Hatton all of Myrtle Creek, a granddaughter, Tara Cheatum of Tulsa, Oklahoma, a sister, Geneva Pruitt of Roseburg, three brothers: John Hatton of Myrtle Creek, Jack Hatton of Sims, Arkansas and Jerry Hatton of Melville, Louisiana, a special nephew, Kevin Rancor of Canyonville, numerous special nieces and nephews, other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie E. Hatton Sr., two brothers, William Darrell Hatton and Carl Ray Hatton. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 24, 1997 at 11:00 a.m. at the I.O.O.F Cemetery in Myrtle Creek. Memorial services will follow at the Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, donation can be sent for cancer treatment: Assistance in Health Care, Inc., PO Box 700392, Tulsa, OK 74170-0392. LONG & SHUKLE MEMORIAL CHAPEL is in charge of arrangements.
