Cicero Holt McLeroy enlisted in the Confederate Army in Athens, Clarke Co., GA on March 01, 1864 and served in the 1st Regiment, Battallion Lumpkins Battery Light Artillery, as a Pvt. in Capt. E. P. Lumpkins and was discharged at the surrender of the war. He applied for a Civil War pension at age 61 years of age and received it from 1897-1907 in Hall Co., GA.

He was a carpenter.
