SOUTH BEND - Bonnie Deranek, 76, passed away on Friday, June 5, at 10:38 p.m. in Hospice House.

Bonnie was born on September 2, 1932 in Walkerton, IN, to the late George and Hazel (Blair) Barden. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Wood and Iva Mae Harney; and by two brothers, Robert Barden and George Barden.

She is survived by her three children, Michelle (Delbert) Wilson of Dowagiac, MI, Jacqueline (Robert) Kapiszka of South Bend and Timonty (Sara) deranek of Fuquay Varnia, NC; six grandchildren, Diane Wilson of Dowagiac, Erik Root of South Bend and Jessica and Dominick Kapiszka of South bend and Ava and Helen Deranek of Faquay Varni, NC; sister, Norma (Ray) Donzero of Sun City West, AZ; and by her brother, Wayne (Pat) Barden of Elkahrt, IN. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews.

Bonnie was a parishioner of Little Flower Catholic Church, a member of School Men's Wives Club, Red Hat Club, Euchre Club, MaryAnn Club, Campfire, and Parents without Partners.

She was an Avon representative for 27 years. Bonnie enjoyed camping, fishing, sewing, and arts and crafts.

A memorial service will be celebrated on Friday, June 12, at 10 a.m. in Little Flower Catholic Church. Burial will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton, IN.

ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road is assisting the family.
