Her married Nancy Rowlett Dunbar on Mar 9 1864 in Bastrop County, Texas. He was Merchant in Paige and later in McDade. He was a lay Minister, Active Mason and served as a Bastrop County Election Judge. He was the Stepfather of Rev John Samuel Dunbar and Sarah Arena Dunbar Rutherford.
