Ken M. Brooks
Ken Maynard Brooks was born Aug. 24, 1928 in Austin, Minn., the son of Riley and Cora Brooks.
He resided in Austin, Lyle, and Faribault, Minn., at various times.
On Dec. 7, 1979, he was united in marriage to Patricia A. Barker at Crane Community Chapel, Austin.
He was employed in the mechanical division of Geo. A. Hormel Co., and was a member of American Legion, Local P-9, and Eagles.
Mr. Brooks died February. 13, 1983 at St. Olaf Hospital.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia, 302 37th St. SW; sons, Greg Brooks, Eden Prairie, Minn., Joe Brooks, John Brooks, Albert Lea; four step children, Corey and Kelly Kaercher, Colorado Springs, Colo., Mrs. Gene (Mickey) Culbert, Lyle, Mrs. Paul (Kathy) Buck, Austin; 15 grandchildren; three brothers, Arthur Brooks, Austin, Richard Brooks, Bloomington, Aaron Brooks, Milwaukee; three sisters, Mrs. Howard (Mabel) Bailey, Austin, Mrs. Myrta Rusley, Albert Lea, Mrs. Charles Evonne) Below, Milwaukee. He was preceded in death by Riley, Cora and Audrey Brooks and Lorraine Brooks.
Funeral services were held February. 15, 1983 at the Mayer Funeral Home, Pastor Harold Luecke officiating. Interment was in Enterprise Cemetery. Candice Kaeecher was soloist and American Legion, Austin Post 91, was in charge of military rites.
