Charles W. Simpson, 75, of Finley died Monday, June 8, 2009 at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 11, 2009 in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Brother Doug Ellingsworth with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at Curry Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Art McDonald, Terry Simpson, Patrick Koch, Mike Klingeman, Donald Wade and Bob Simpson.
Survivors include a daughter, Dianne Wade and husband, Donnie, of Cuba, Mo.; a son, Rickey Simpson of Finley; two sisters, Martha McCanless of Dyersburg, and Carolyn McDonald and husband, Art, of Finley; four brothers, Ray Simpson of St. Louis, Mo., Hershell Simpson of Finley, Bill Simpson of Covington, and Benny Simpson of Anderson, S.C.; and three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by four dear brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Simpson; his parents T.H. "Bud" Simpson and Rebbie Simpson; and five sisters, Mary Hudson, Glenda Patterson, Lola Mae Simpson, Christine Simpson and Linda Simpson.
