HEREFORD - Ona Bell, 87, of Amarillo died Saturday, June 6, 2009, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Rix Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. James Peach of Frio Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Park.

Mrs. Bell was born June 16, 1921, in Afton to John Wesley and Georgia Leona Chaney Ho-Gland. She married J.L. Bell on Jan. 13, 1940, in Roaring Springs.

Survivors include a son, Roy Bell of Amarillo; two daughters, Pat Wall and Gloria Bell-Keahey, both of Amarillo; a brother, Bill Ho-Gland of Amarillo; a sister, Marie Bridges of Crum; seven grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105
